Epcot® International Flower and Garden Festival

 

An elaborate "Cinderellabration" topiary and an environmentally friendly Green Garden will bring fresh springtime flair to the 17th annual Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival March through Mid May 2010. Amid a colorful tableau of flowers, plants and topiaries, Walt Disney World® guests of all ages can explore myriad exhibits and activities geared toward gardening and outdoor fun. Weekend Flower Power concerts will pump up the volume and spread a groovy vibe at America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase.

Festival Highlights


New This Year! Community Garden - See Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy, in topiary, as they tend their special community garden. A homage to our company's initiative, Give A Day, Get A Day.

New This Year! First Ever American Gothic Mickey and Minnie Mouse (based on the 1930 Grant Wood painting.)

New This Year! Herbs and Vegetables Home Grown - Canada Pavilion - presented by Rainbird Corporation. Discover how to use our water resources wisely.

Green Garden – Anyone can create an environmentally friendly garden; here's where guests will learn about low-water-use gardens, incorporating native plants into their garden and recycling.

Pixie Hollow – Colorful topiaries of Tinker Bell and her friends from Walt Disney Pictures' Tinker Bell will sprinkle pixie dust over this playful garden designed just for kids.

Pirates Adventure Zone – Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Croc topiaries will lure young swashbucklers to this interactive space designed for exploration and adventure.

Minnie's Magnificent Butterfly Garden - Hundreds of butterflies will flit inside a walk-through screened enclosure that includes a live exhibit showing how caterpillars form a chrysalis and emerge as butterflies.

Disney Gardening at Home presentations - Disney horticulturists will share gardening tips and lead guests in a hands-on, take-home activity.

The Garden Town Festival Center - Guests can shop for festival merchandise, attend speaker presentations and demonstrations and ask gardening questions of the experts.

Sounds Like Summer

 

Dance to classic hits under the skies of the open-air America Gardens Theater at Epcot®. This summer concert series features a lineup of rockin' bands covering timeless tunes from U2, The Bee Gees, The Supremes, Bon Jovi, and many more. Get the family together and groove to the songs you all know and love!

Three shows nightly at 5:45 pm, 7:00 pm and 8:15 pm.

Star Wars™ Weekends
 

Come immerse yourself in the power of the Force during Star Wars™ Weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios™, select weekends this spring, 2010.

Here, you'll find an entire saga's worth of characters and celebrities on hand for autographs, pictures, motorcades, Q&A sessions and more, including the Jedi Training Academy for your Padawans.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
 

Boo! Don't be afraid. The screams you hear are squeals of delight, not fright. Disney fantasy and Halloween fun come together on selected nights in September and October for a one-of-a-kind celebration. Seize this rare opportunity to visit the Magic Kingdom® in costume*, ride some of the most popular attractions and enjoy some really sweet trick-or-treating with favorite Disney characters in their finest Halloween outfits. With special music, a parade and the spectacular Happy HalloWishes fireworks show, this is no trick - it's a real treat.

In September 2010, be there as some of the most popular names and most powerful voices in rock, pop and gospel Contemporary Christian music take the stage and rock the mic as Night of Joy returns to Magic Kingdom® Park! Bonus - between sets, you can gather your friends and check out awesome attractions like Space Mountain and Splash Mountain.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

 

It’s a magical night of special holiday entertainment including Castle Dreamlights!, an enchanting holiday parade, “Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade,” featuring Santa Claus, a festive nighttime fireworks spectacular, Disney Character greetings, live stage shows and tasty treats on Main Street, U.S.A.®, plus the most popular Magic Kingdom® attractions!

Castle Dreamlights!
Cinderella Castle is transformed every night at the Magic Kingdom® Park during Castle Dreamlights! When Mickey and friends realize the castle isn’t decorated for the holidays, they enlist the help of Cinderella, the Prince, and even the Fairy Godmother! With all of their help, Cinderella Castle transforms into a glorious, wintry confection, twinkling in the sky!

Candlelight Processional:
At the American Gardens Theatre. Revel in the joy of the season as you listen to an unforgettable retelling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and mass choir.

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth: A spectacular light and sound show every night at 9:30 p.m. at the World Showcase Lagoon featuring a very special holiday finale, which includes the classic song "Let There Be Peace On Earth" and the voice of Walter Cronkite offering a special holiday message.

Holiday Storytellers: Listen to legendary holiday folklore from around the world as told at the World Showcase by the legends themselves, including France's Père Noël, Italy's LaBefana and America's Santa Claus.

Epcot® Holiday Merchandise: Stroll through the World Showcase and discover festive holiday gifts for the entire family! Visit Santa's Village in America Adventure or stop by France for a delicious gourmet treat. You may even catch a glass blower in Germany putting the finishing touches on a seasonal ornament!

Candlelight Dining Packages: Savor an extra special treat when you ring in the holiday season with a Candlelight Dining Package. Each package includes lunch or dinner at a select Epcot® restaurant and reserved general seating at the American Gardens Theater during the Candlelight Processional. Add in some special Holiday music and traditional Seasonal favorites with a world beat twist and you have a combination that celebrates the Holidays as only Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Park can.
