Disney's California Food & Wine Weekends

 

Celebrate the palate pleasing flavors of California cuisine and spirits as Disney's California Adventure® Park plays host to a food-lover's festival that showcases the diverse tastes of the Golden State. Join celebrity chefs, noted sommeliers and fellow culinary connoisseurs in a series of demonstrations, seminars, and epicurean adventures that will have your mouth watering.
Over multiple weekends, guests can experience a diverse choice of food and wine, attend wine seminars and culinary demonstrations, or visit the Festival Marketplaces celebrating California wines and cuisine. True food and wine connoisseurs may purchase tickets for additional events to be held at the Napa Rose, Granville's Steak House, Seasons of the Vine and the Vineyard Room. Tempt your taste buds with appetizer-sized treats, watch the pros sauté, fillet or flambé in a complimentary cooking demonstration or simply satisfy your curiosity about wine, beer or spirits by attending a seminar.

*In accordance with California state law you must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages. All events, seminars, prices, menus, food options, services, age ranges, locations, dates, times, participating chefs and presenters are subject to restrictions and may change without notice.

Appetizer-sized treats of Fresh Tomato Salad, Lobster and Pepper Jack Quesadillas, California White Cheddar Soup and more!  Specialty items ranged in price from only $4 - $5 each and were available at one of the Marketplaces located in Disney's California Adventure® Park.

Wine, Beer and Spirit Seminars
Seminars led by a noted Winemaker, Master Brewer or Disneyland® Resort Sommelier. Each day of the festival featured four complimentary 45-minute sessions that showcased selected wines, beers or spirits from the event.  Some of the exciting presentations included representatives from: Acacia Winery, Beaulieu Vineyard, Chalone Vineyard, Rubicon Estate, Flora Springs Winery, Gallo Sonoma Winery, Karl Strauss Brewing Company, Provenance Vineyards, Rosenthal - The Malibu Estate, Silver Oak Cellars and Williams Selyem Winery.

Culinary Demonstations
Four culinary demonstrations were presented by Disney chefs taking place each day and lasting approximately 45 minutes for each session. There was also an al fresco culinary experience on the Vineyard Room terrace located in Disney's California Adventure® Park.

Festival Merchandise
Special merchandise available only during the Food and Wine Weekends.  Merchandise included full bottle sales of featured wines as well as uniquely designed event items.

Mickey's Halloween Treat

 
Celebrate this frightfully fun time of the year with a spirited event. On select nights, experience treat stations to scare up some goodies, lively music to boogie your bones, creepy crafts and activities plus lots of spook-tacular entertainment for little boos and ghouls of all ages. Meet an assortment of Disney Villains on the prowl while enjoying the enhanced atmosphere décor. Looming 183 feet high will be the “The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™.” The park’s popular supernatural adventure that will take on an even more ominous presence with enhanced décor and a creepy staff. Enter a family-friendly world of Halloween delights.

*Guests of all ages may wear costumes only to the Mickey's Halloween Treat event in which their ticket is valid. Otherwise, costumes are only permitted at either theme park for Guests ages 9 and under. All costumes must adhere to any guidelines as determined solely by Disney. Please choose costumes that are not obstructive, offensive, or violent. Guests' eyes must be visible at all times.

Disney's HalloweenTime

 

Halloween dreams come true during the all new spook-tacular season of Disney's HalloweenTime! This event will allow you to enter a family-friendly world of Halloween delights. Both Theme Parks of the Disneyland® Resort will be transformed with seasonal splendor for this family-friendly tradition that offers interactive activities and Fall fun for boys and ghouls of all ages.

*Guests of all ages may wear costumes ONLY to the Mickey's Halloween Treat event with a valid ticket. Otherwise, costumes are only permitted at either theme park for Guests ages 9 and under. Holidays at the Disneyland Resort

 
 

Rejoice in the spirit of the season as the Disney holiday tradition continues. From the festive park décor that decks the halls of both Theme Parks to the magic and good cheer throughout the Disneyland® Resort. The entire Resort lights up in honor of the holidays with special décor and an atmosphere that is pure Disney magic. Disneyland® Park celebrates the Christmas season with an array of holiday shows, seasonal attractions and live entertainment. Disney’s California Adventure® celebrates the season with enchanted park-wide decorations and expanded entertainment offerings. The celebrations continue through the end of the year with the Disneyland® Resort’s Christmas holiday transformation.

Candlelight Ceremony

 
 

Celebrate with this ceremony, which has been a Disneyland® Park tradition for over 45 years, featuring a 600-member choir accompanied by the Disneyland® Orchestra, along with a celebrity Guest Narrator who will retell the story of "The First Christmas" in a powerful tapestry of narrative and music. This year, Guests can experience the Disneyland® Resort's Candlelight Ceremony in a whole new light. For an extra special treat, ring in the holiday season with a Candlelight Dinner Package, which includes a special dinner at one of five restaurants at the Resort, followed by premium seating of this year's Candlelight Ceremony.

Candlelight Dinner Package (2006 package details)
The Candlelight Dinner package* will feature a menu of specially selected items from which to choose! Participating restaurants will embrace the spirit of the evening like never before, exclusively offering some of their most popular dishes served up with an unprecedented touch of Candlelight magic! Guests will enjoy a three-course meal. Non-alcoholic beverages are included.
